You Power Every Success Story

  • by Dr. Laurie Marker November 13, 2025

Starting November 17th, your gift will be doubled up to $425,000 to protect cheetahs in the wild.

The challenge to save the cheetah has never been more urgent, or more promising.

At the heart of Cheetah Conservation Fund’s mission lies one truth: conservation happens through collaboration. With partners across Africa, we’re building solutions that protect cheetahs, empower communities, and restore the land they depend on.

Now, through Home Range for the Holidays, your donation will go twice as far. All gifts made before December 31, 2025, will be matched up to $425,000 by generous campaign challengers.

What Your Support Makes Possible

Caring for Cheetahs in Need
More than 150 cheetahs live under expert care at our Centres in Namibia and Somaliland. Over 100 are at the new Cheetah Rescue and Conservation Centre in Somaliland, where stronger enforcement this year led to a rise in confiscations and rescues. These animals now live in natural enclosures designed for rehabilitation and long-term welfare.

Working Hand in Hand with Governments
Together with the Governments of Namibia and Somaliland, CCF is strengthening laws, improving enforcement, and creating coexistence toolkits for farmers. This year, along with generous individual supporters, designated grants funded collaboration to expand our reach and help us align regional wildlife protection efforts.

CCF's education officers help students learn about cheetahs but the solutions saving them from extinction
Veterinary work in CCF's clinics helps provide rehabilitation and lifetime care for all animals at our centres.

Prevention That Keeps Cheetahs Wild
It costs 65 percent less to protect cheetahs in the wild than to care for them once removed. CCF’s Livestock Guarding Dog program helps farmers prevent conflict, saving hundreds of cheetahs each year through non-lethal protection.

Education That Builds the Future
More than 23,000 students in Namibia learned about predator ecology and coexistence in 2024. In 2026, our new Education and Training Centre in Somaliland will expand these opportunities across the Horn of Africa.

Habitat Restoration That Opens Room to Roam
Through the Bushblok® Project, CCF has restored more than 1,000 hectares of open grassland for cheetahs and their prey. The program turns invasive thornbush into clean-burning fuel logs and jobs for local communities, supported by EU and renewable energy partnerships.

Livestock Guarding Dogs are raised alongside goats to develop the protective insticts that keep them safe from predation -- protecting cheetahs from retaliatory killing
Orphaned cheetahs in Namibia and Somaliland get the best care possible thanks to YOU
