Dr. Laurie Marker is a conservation scientist and Founder and Executive Director of the Cheetah Conservation Fund (CCF). An expert with more than 45 years of experience creating conservation strategies for cheetah specializing in human-wildlife conflict, illegal wildlife trade, community human livelihood programs & captive breeding. Hear more about Dr. Laurie’s work in helping save the cheetah in the wild from extinction. Dr. Laurie is a long-time member of The Explorers Club and is the recipient of the 2020 Explorers Club President’s Award for conservation efforts protecting cheetahs and the Lowell Thomas Award in 2010.
