Viget Paints A Picture of Cheetah Populations By The Numbers

In 2013, CCF teamed up up Viget, a full-service interactive agency that helps plan, design, build, and measure successful websites and digital products, located in Northern Virginia. The team at Viget created two unique info-graphics for CCF focusing on cheetah populations and the threats faced by the species in the wild.
Though the population of cheetahs in Namibia has stabilized, the world’s population continues to dwindle. Sadly, the graphics needed an update to reflect current populations from 10,000 cheetahs in the wild in 2013, to fewer than 7,500 today. Below is some background info on the project and one of the updated graphics.
At Viget, our mission is to make the world a better place through a better web. One way we do that is through servicing nonprofit clients, including those focused on conservation and protecting wildlife, including World Wildlife Fund, Wildlife Conservation Society, and The Nature Conservancy. We believe that telling the stories of declining species populations in compelling ways, in a digital medium, can play a critical role in spreading awareness and encouraging action that will turn things around. One of those examples that we got to play a role in was 96 Elephants. We had a similar vision in working with CCF on these info-graphics.
