New CCF Chapters in Georgia and Indiana

CCF has two new chapters working in the Lakes region and the Southeast region of the United States!

Two of CCF’s long-time supporters decided to make the leap and create regional chapters. They gathered together other cheetah friends to help plan events that promote outreach and fundraising. Forming a chapter for CCF might seem like a big task, and it can be a lot of work to get started, but CCF staff can help by linking together CCF supporters who have expressed interest in becoming more involved. These newest groups are utilizing online communications and virtual meetings to build statewide participation. This tactic opens up a wider pool of participants and more opportunities for collaboration. If you would like to be involved in helping them with their efforts please email volunteer@cheetah.org. CCF Georgia had their initial meet and greet and is looking for new members. They have some events planned and will work towards having chapter events throughout the year. Below is a tentative list.

Nov 19th 2016 – A weekend at Chehaw, Albany GA – Chehaw Zoo for their Animal Thanksgiving, when animals get their Thanksgiving treats
Dec 10th 2016 – CCF info booth at Zoo Atlanta
Early 2017 – 5K Fundraiser Columbus GA

CCF Indiana Student Volunteer Meeting at The Academy of Science and Entrepreneurship in Bloomington, IN

Indiana had been working to build a base of support across Indiana. Their focus is education and they visit schools, universities, and civic institutions to build awareness for CCF and the cheetah.
