The race for survival is on, and we invite you to join us at the Racing for Survival, a night of purpose, and unbridled support for one of the planet’s most majestic creatures: the cheetahs.
Mark your calendar for Thursday, November 16th, as the prestigious Bloomsbury Hotel in London transforms into a hub of compassion and dedication to cheetah conservation.
Imagine a night filled with laughter, cocktails, and captivating cabaret. The event promises to be an unforgettable experience, featuring a special performance by the talented Namibian singer Shishani. The dress code? Lounge Suits and Cocktail dresses – it’s a chance to put on your finest attire for a great cause.
Why do cheetahs need our help?
Cheetah numbers have dwindled by a staggering 98%, leaving just over 7,000 of these magnificent creatures in Africa. In the Horn of Africa, an alarming 300 cheetah cubs are taken each year in the illegal wildlife trade. Time is running out for these incredible animals, and this gala aims to make a difference.
As our guest, you’ll enjoy a reception at 6:30 pm, followed by delightful cocktails, cabaret music by Shishani, and some delectable light food. But the heart of the evening lies in the vital information you’ll gain. Dr. Laurie Marker, our founder, will share insights into the positive impact of the Cheetah Conservation Fund (CC) on cheetah conservation. She will present the new Racing for Survival film, showcasing the important work being done.
Supporting the cause
The gala is not just about celebration; it’s also about taking action. You’ll have opportunities to contribute to the cause through both an online silent auction and a live auction during the event. There will also be engaging fundraising games along the way. Every penny raised will go directly towards CCF’s programs, furthering their efforts to help the cheetah win its race for survival.
In-person tickets are limited and available on a first-come, first-served basis. However, we’ve also made it easy for you to participate from anywhere in the world. Online tickets are available for just £10, giving you access to all the presentations, videos, and entertainment, whether you choose to watch them live or at your convenience. You can also participate in the online auction, ensuring that distance is no barrier to your support.
The Racing for Survival Fundraising Gala is more than an event; it’s a lifeline for the cheetahs, a symbol of hope for their survival alongside human communities. Join us in this incredible journey, and let’s make a difference. Your presence and support could be the key to helping the cheetah win its race for survival.
