CCF provides a sanctuary for cheetahs that have been orphaned, injured or unable to survive in the wild. Captured by farmers, about 35-40 cheetahs receive care for the rest of their lives at the sanctuary with the opportunity to live in conditions as close as possible to the wild. When possible, rehabilitate cheetahs have been released, with approximately 650 having been re-wilded so far. The cost to care for each cheetah is over $6,500 annually, and this covers nutrition, health management and animal enrichment.
