Over the past 35 years, the Cheetah Conservation Fund (CCF) has continuously advanced efforts to preserve the cheetah population. Our key achievements reflect a comprehensive approach to conservation that encompasses collaboration with local communities, enhancing livelihoods, and protecting and restoring natural habitats. We empower communities with the knowledge and tools necessary to actively participate in conservation efforts. Our commitment to scientific research drives ongoing evaluation and innovation, ensuring sustainable solutions for the survival of this iconic species. Below are some of our achievements.
These achievements have been made possible through the establishment of CCF’s world-class Research, Conservation, and Education Center in Namibia, along with a new sanctuary in the Horn of Africa dedicated to caring for rescued cheetah cubs affected by the illegal wildlife trade. As an active member of various conservation associations, CCF continues to lead global efforts. Dr. Laurie Marker, the founder and executive director of CCF, has been recognized with numerous awards for her exceptional contributions to conservation.
