Ana welcomes a litter of five!

Ana, our loyal and dedicated mixed-breed guarding dog, gave birth to five healthy puppies on the morning of May 30, 2025 — four males and one female.

This special litter is an important step in CCF mission to reduce human-wildlife conflict and promote peaceful coexistence between Namibia’s farmers and cheetahs. These pups represent the future of our evolving Livestock Guarding Dog (LGD) program, showcasing the strength, resilience, and adaptability of local mixed-breed dogs.

With Ana’s loving care and CCF team’s support, these pups will grow into reliable guardians for farmers across Namibia — helping protect livestock and championing conservation.

At 11 weeks, these dogs will be placed with farmers to protect their livestocks from predators.  The LGD is one of CCF most successful program as predation on livestocks drops by 80-100%.
