2019 Marks the Silver Jubilee of CCF’s Livestock Guarding Dog Program.
For the last 25 years the Cheetah Conservation Fund has worked tirelessly with farmers and communities throughout Southern Africa and beyond to install and maintain a predator friendly farming system.
With CCF’s Holistic approach to conservation the program has evolved into an initiative the encompasses the whole ecosystem and enabled research and development of further Solutions, practices and tools to further the successes already achieved.
Touching upon the various aspects and offshoots of the program in it’s 25 years of operation I will highlight the little known initiatives that are in operation in tandem with the LGD program that together are protecting people, livelihoods, wildlife and the balance of nature, learning from the past, dealing with the present and planning for the future.
