After two years of virtual-only events, Dr. Laurie Marker, CCF’s Executive Director and Founder is back in-person in Portland! The Cheetah Conservation Fund (CCF) Oregon Chapter is excited to party with its supporters once again on October 16, 2022 at the Wieden + Kennedy headquarters.

Come meet Dr. Laurie Marker, and a special guest appearance of a “super-hero” dog helping to save cheetahs. Wild Cheetah, Wild Party! a new name for a new type of event focused on celebrating CCF’s efforts to save the cheetah across its African range. Help us Keep the Wild, Wild.

Enjoy a delicious array of hors d’oeuvres and savor some favorite Northwest beverages while saving the cheetah in the wild.

This exciting event will also feature one of CCF’s “heroes saving cheetahs” – an Anatolian shepherd with be with us so that you can meet up close and personal the breed of dogs that are saving cheetahs while helping farmers. This amazing dog breed is crucial to the work the Cheetah Conservation Fund does on the ground which has dramatically reduced livestock losses due to predation by 80% to 100% helping make “Namibia the cheetah capital of the world.”

Laurie will also regale us with stories straight from the field and get the very latest in CCF’s ongoing efforts to end cheetah trafficking in the Horn of Africa and Middle East as well as the reintroduction of cheetahs to India where they have been extinct for more than seventy years.
