Cheetah Talk and Book Signing at the Bowers Museum
Join CCF’s Founder for an informative afternoon chat focusing on cheetahs, their habitat and ecology. Dr. Marker will give the latest updates on what CCF is doing to mitigate the threats to the species and save the cheetah in the wild, outlining the worldwide effort to save the cheetah, while supporting human communities that live in the same range.
For over 45 years, Dr. Marker as pioneered research, established conservation models and created cooperative alliances that never before existed. CCF has grown into a world-class cheetah research, education and conservation institution that is now the longest-running and most successful cheetah conservation program in the world. Her work has led her to partner and support many countries throughout Africa to save the cheetah. And now it expands even further including combating the illegal wildlife trade in the Horn of Africa and the Middle East; and working to reintroduce the cheetah with the Indian government where it has been extinct for 70 years. Come learn how saving the cheetah and working with local people is saving a species.
