More than 300 cheetah cubs a year are snatched from the wild in the Horn of Africa to meet the demand of the illegal pet trade. With less than 500 cheetahs in total in the whole area, we must act fast – before it is too late.
CCF is intensifying efforts to combat the illegal pet trade. We will educate local communities impacted by the trade and forge collaborations to improve law enforcement. We will also continue to support confiscation missions and provide life-saving care to rescued cubs.
On 22nd April CCF will launch a global campaign to end cheetah trafficking.
Our campaign will include various special events that we hope will engage, inform and inspire. We’ll also share news of our priority activities to combat the illegal wildlife trade, and all the ways you can get involved in this vital campaign to end cheetah trafficking
