We’re excited to announce a brand new partnership with Super League Triathlon’s Team Cheetahs! For every subscriber to the innovative Cheetahs Fan Team, they will make a donation to Cheetah Conservation Fund, giving Team Owners the chance to help a great cause while also enjoying making key decisions for Team Cheetahs that will have a direct impact on the exciting racing in Super League Triathlon’s 2022 Championship Series.

We spoke to Team Cheetahs ahead of the launch of their Fan Team to find out more about Super League Triathlon and why the team bears similarities to their wild namesake!

Tell us all about the Super League Triathlon – history, origins, aims

Super League Triathlon is the world’s premier swim-bike-run series, pitching the very best athletes against each other in quick and exciting race formats in fantastic destinations across the globe. The Championship Series takes place from September to November with the best triathletes on the planet doing battle over game-changing formats which are redefining the sport for a modern audience.

How can people get involved with the league?

People can get involved with Super League Triathlon racing by following our racing highlights on YouTube, via our website and socials, as well as more exclusive behind the scenes access coming soon!

How can their involvement make a difference to cheetah conservation?

Super League Triathlon fan team subscribers will be making a positive contribution to the Cheetah Conservation Fund by showing their support and learning more about the organisation.

Tell us more about Team Cheetah – who’s in the team, what are their strengths?

Team Cheetahs team manager is Annie Emmerson, Annie is an ex professional triathlete and has been duathlon World Champion. In the team we have 8 members, 4 of each gender. Jonathan Brownlee & Sophie Coldwell are both Cheetahs, this year both Sophie & Jonny have been selected to represent team England at the Commonwealth Games. The team will change when we have our draft in July, our fan team members will have the chance to weigh in on who remains in team cheetahs this season!

What qualities and attributes do the team share with the iconic cheetah?

Super League Triathlon team cheetahs and the mammal cheetahs share being built for speed as well as being very energetic. Similarly like Super League Triathlon racing, cheetahs are also direct and dynamic. Don’t look away for a minute or you will have missed the action!

What are dates should we add to our diaries and why?

The launch of our Fan Team & Championship series venues announcement is on the 24th of May. Subscribe to the fan team by the 31st May to have your name on the official team cheetahs kit. Stay tuned to our channels for more dates including our draft & dates of upcoming races.
