Your support is vital in enabling us to deliver immediate, lifesaving diagnostics at the Cheetah Rescue & Conservation Centre (CRCC). The Centre is a large sanctuary in the desert forest reserve of Geed Deeble. Cheetahs live in a spacious natural environment. With over 120 cheetahs living in widely dispersed and large fields, having mobile medical equipment — like portable x-ray machine and ultrasound — will enable our veterinary team to diagnose and treat animals quickly and accurately, reducing additional stressors or unnecessary transport back to the clinic. The battery powered x-ray machine makes it much better than using a generator to power the x-ray machine which is noisy and not reliable.
The vet team can respond and promptly put together a medical plan according to the initial assessment in the bush. With this equipment, we can perform effective diagnostics on-site, improving response times and animal welfare. Additionally, the VS Scan will be invaluable during rescues — enabling quick assessments of their condition when minutes matter, often before we can even reach the clinic.
Campaign ends November 1st – no amount is too small.
Our current scan requires a power source, computer and other accessories making it challengingf to use in the field.
The current mobile x-ray machine in the picture above needs an accompanying generator which is not ideal due to noise, transporting issues and reliability. This new equipment will provide the veterinary team more flexibility and time saved that can be focused to the care of cheetahs.
Your donation will help us reach our goal of $20,100, ensuring every cheetah receives the urgent care they deserve.
Join us in saving lives and protecting our majestic cheetahs for future generations.
