How Your 2025 Support Helped !

Here’s how your generosity has helped our work in Namibia and in Somaliland.

We have been able to transfer almost $222,000 directly to the front lines of conservation. These are some highlights of the impact:

🐾 Lifesaving Care & Rehabilitation

CCF is providing care for nearly 150 cheetahs, in facilities in Namibia and Somaliland. Your donations provided:

  • Cheetah Care: Supporting 7-9 cheetahs at CCF Centres.
  • Vital Nutrition: Specialized diets and supplements to keep rescued cheetahs strong.
  • Mobile Medical Equipment: New mobile x-ray and ultrasound equipment, allowing CCF’s vet teams to diagnose and treat injuries faster than ever before.
  • Back into the Wild: Ten cheetahs will be fitted with satellite collars (including 2-year data plans), a critical step in releasing them back into the wild where they belong.

Empowering Communities & Protecting Livestock

Conservation isn’t just about animals; it’s also about people.

  • Education: CCF is engaging youth and farmers in Namibia, fostering a new generation of conservation leaders, who are knowledgeable about and proud of their country.  Your support helps provide sustainable outcomes for future generation.
  • Livestock Guarding Dogs: Canada has supported the breeding and training of puppies that become essential for farmers in protecting livestock, reducing conflict and saving cheetahs from retaliatory killings.

🤝 Global Partnerships

We also support the Mara-Meru Cheetah Project in Kenya. Canadian contributions have funded ranger training, essential field equipment, and transport.

🎓 The Next Generation of Conservationists

Our collaboration with Vanier College continues to thrive! In 2025, six Canadian students – from the Environmental & Wildlife Management and Animal Health programs – traveled to CCF Namibia for hands-on internships. In 2026, CCF Namibia will  welcome five more interns.
