Victoria and Rachael, (vet students) from the Ontario Veterinary College (OVC), had the opportunity to go with Robin, CCF’s resident veterinarian, to assist with the annual workup of a lion from a neighbouring lodge. After Robin darted the lion to sedate it, Victoria and Rachael assisted with vaccinations, blood collection, a general exam and monitoring of anaesthesia. It was an exciting experience for both of them and they are thankful the CCF team invited them to participate!

Rachael and Victoria also helped Robin with the care of our Livestock Guardian Dogs and provided help when necessary with our goats and sheep in our model farm.
