Working to protect and save our wildlife and environment has always been a passion of mine. My passion led me to a career focusing on large carnivores and African biodiversity, with a special love for the cheetah. My undergraduate and postgraduate thesis explored the welfare of ambassador cheetahs, using faecal cortisol concentrations and behaviour as indicator of stress. With fewer than 7,000 cheetahs left in the wild, I wanted and felt like I could be doing more for cheetahs from the UK.
