The problem is most wild cheetahs live outside protected areas (game parks and reserves). Cheetahs hunt during the day, and farmers think they are a danger to their livestock and shoot them. Dr. Marker’s unique approach that combines empowering farmers to harness the economic value of predators, create revenue streams and protect their livestock through the use of guard dogs given them by CCF, and increase and improve productivity through CCF’s livestock management education programs has Namibia’s wild cheetah population regenerating.
Be a part of saving this icon of speed, which is racing toward extinction by sponsoring Meetah Cheetah 2017.
