Busy time at CCF with new puppies.
Meet Lisboa-Bella, a valued member of our Livestock Guarding Dog (LGD) family at CCF Namibia. She was gifted to us by the Lisbon Zoo in Portugal. Lisboa-Bella embodies the power of international collaboration and compassion in wildlife conservation.
She recently gave birth to five puppies—three males and two females. These energetic pups are already displaying the spirit of future protectors, marking a vital step in our shared mission to safeguard Namibia’s cheetahs and livestock.
Lisboa-Bella’s journey illustrates how international partnerships drive local impact. Thanks to programs like this, we’re enhancing the genetic diversity and resilience of our guarding dog lines, fostering coexistence between people and wildlife.
As these puppies grow, they will be trained and placed with farmers in need—providing a vital, non-lethal tool to reduce livestock loss and promote harmony with predators.
This is conservation in action, powered by collaboration, care, and canine dedication. Stay tuned as we follow these little ambassadors on their journey to make a difference!
