Tourism & Education Department Staff Member
(2010 – present) Ignatius (“Iggy”) started working at CCF in 2010 and divides his time between the Education and the Tourism Departments. His day to day role includes managing and booking school groups into Camp Lightfoot. Iggy furthers CCF’s work in conservation, wildlife conflict and natural work all over Namibia by leading CCF’s Schools Outreach Programme, which has been created in alignment with Namibia’s school curriculum.
Iggy’s work for the tourism department includes guiding, driving and walking tours and his favorite tour is the Sundowner tour on Little Serengeti. Iggy loves talking to the CCF’s visitors and interacting with international travelers. Iggy was born locally in Otjiwarongo but has spent time living and working in Seattle. He has himself benefited from volunteerism and wishes to focus on youth development in Namibia and believes that he already has his dream job at CCF combining education and tourism.
