Anne Schmidt-Küntzel, DVM, PhD.
Research Geneticist and Assistant Director for Animal Health and Research
(2008 – present) Anne joined CCF in 2008 to set up the Life Technologies Conservation Genetics Laboratory at the CCF Research Centre in Namibia. Thanks to the state-of-the-art laboratory, the genetic research can now be conducted at CCF rather than having to export samples to the USA or Europe. In 2010 Anne took on the responsibility for CCF’s research and veterinary departments.
Prior to joining CCF, she worked at Dr. Stephen O’Brien’s laboratory, obtained a PhD in genetics from George Washington University and a veterinary degree from Liège University.
