Pathways Africa 2018 in Namibia
January 8, 2018 - January 11, 2018
Colorado State University and The Cheetah Conservation Fund are co-hosting the 2018 Pathways Africa Conference and Training (Namibia) in partnership with the Large Carnivore Management Association of Namibia and the Namibia Nature Foundation.
Pathways will also offer a three-day training course (Jan. 6-8) in conjunction with the conference to improve leadership skills and provide information on how to engage entire communities in conservation efforts. Demonstrations of technologies that aid in species monitoring and workshops on mitigating conflict will be offered to participants.
The 2018 conference will be only the second time Pathways has been open to countries outside of Africa, bringing an estimated 250 people from almost 30 different countries to “The Cheetah Capital of the World.” Because it will be held in Windhoek, many of CCF’s staff and interns will be in attendance, with several giving presentations.
Pathways is currently accepting abstracts and session proposals
Abstract and Organized Session Deadline: July 16, 2017
The proposals section of the Pathways website gives you an overview of what sessions and individual presentations look like and explains the requirements, structure, and submission instructions for both.
