Assistant to Dr. Laurie Marker
(2013 – present) Teresia grew up at the beautiful Lake of Constance in Southern Germany. She was fascinated by animals and nature since a young age and always wanted to work in this field of work. As her favorite animals are cats, her dream was to work in the area of big cat conservation in Africa one day.
She studied “Wildlife Management” in the Netherlands and got the chance, to absolve her internship of 5 months at CCF in 2011-2012 within her study. During her internship she worked on a human-wildife conflict project and was involved with a variety of other tasks in the area of ecology, conservation, research, tourism, cheetah husbandry and animal care and got a wide overview of all the different tasks of a conservation organization.
After finishing her studies, she moved back to Southern Germany and worked at the “Aktionsgemeinschaft Artenschutz (AGA) e.V., the German partner organization of CCF. In October 2014 she returned to CCF as the Assistant to Dr. Laurie Marker where she is involved with setting up Laurie’s tours, enhancing CCF’s chapter programs, and aiding in the various projects Laurie is involved in.
