Hanlie was born and raise in Port Elizabeth, South Africa. Her love for wildlife began at a young age and she spent much of her childhood on her grandparents’ farm in the Klein Karoo. After her primary education, Hanlie moved to Stellenbosch to study Hospitality and Catering. After a few years of working in the industry, she moved to Cape Town to continue her education and specialized and pastries. In December 2011, Hanlie moved to Namibia and began working for CCF at the beginning of 2012. At CCF, Hanlie is responsible for the operation of the Cheetah Café, staff kitchen, the Babson Guest House, and all house keeping. Hanlie also helped established the Dancing Goat Creamery as is responsible for its management.
