Richard Kopcho, of Palos Verdes, California, is a retired C.P.A. now pursuing a career in fiction writing and studio arts. He was a management consultant in computer and accounting systems with Arthur Young and Co. and later was the controller and CFO of Wilmore City Development, Inc., a real estate development company. He is on the board of directors of Defenders of Wildlife and he and his wife Darcy are major supporters of Defenders of Wildlife, the Grameen Foundation, Oxfam America, the Grizzly and Wolf Discovery Center, The Planetary Coral Reef Foundation, and Southern California Public Radio. Together they are recipients of the Distinguished Alumni Award of the Paul Merage School of Business. Richard has a B.A. from the University of California at Santa Barbara and an M.B.A. from the University of California at Irvine Graduate School of Management (now the Paul Merage School of Business).
